Scrip—Gift Cards That Raise FundsYou can help raise money for the church with the purchases you make every day at the supermarket, gas station, and other places you shop!Here's how it works: The church obtains special gift cards or gift certificates (called scrip) at a discount. You buy and use them at face value. (For example, a $25 scrip card buys you $25 worth of merchandise.) The profit goes to the church operating budget. You can buy scrip for several local supermarket chains (Cub Foods, Kroger, and Schnucks) at coffee hour on most Sundays. You can also place an order for scrip from hundreds of other merchants. The more scrip you buy, the more money we raise! Look for the scrip table at coffee hour, or contact the church office for more information. Discount BooksBuy your favorite books at a discount and raise funds for the church!Just order books by email or at coffee hour from church member Bob Gordon, proprietor of Acme Books & Comics. If a book can be purchased at major bookstores, chances are Bob can get it for you. Your discount is at least 10% off the list price of the book, and Bob will also donate a percentage to the church.
