Our Purpose and Covenant

Our purposes are to:

• Encourage the search for truth and religious experience by providing opportunities for intellectual inquiry and spiritual growth.
• Strive to be responsible members of the human family and of Earth's wider community.
• Teach our children moral standards based on love and encourage them to grow and experience their own spirituality without dogma.
• Learn from other religions while maintaining a liberal religious tradition.
• Promote the open exploration of religious ideas, affirm individual faith, and safeguard religious freedom.

We covenant together to:

• Care for and support each other through the joys and sorrows of our lives.
• Respect the inherent worth and dignity of every person.
• Support the church by sharing responsibility of leadership, ministry, and finances.
• Value religious diversity as an essential strength of our community.
• Encourage each other to reach out to those in need in the broader community.
